Honduras Bound

We are finally able to edit our site.  What a relief.  The past few weeks have been extremely frustrating for two reasons.  First, we could not log into and edit the site.  Second and perhaps the biggest, setting up a new site as good as the one Whitney and Michael set up for us was next to impossible.  The greatest computer guru in the world (Anna Sexton) could not find it.  The Apple Store tech could not.  I could not, but Joany did. (and we all say wow!!)  Joany is the new techno wizard.

As we begin our journey, we will periodically post thoughts, stories, and comments about our adventures or "escapades." Before we go any further, let us answer some of the "burning" questions many of you may have:
  • Why now during the middle of the school year?  (TAKS, EOC, TELPAS, need we say more? Not really)
  • Do you speak Spanish?   (no, but we are staying at a Holiday Inn Express)
  • Isn't it dangerous down there?  (so is 5 o'clock traffic)
  • Will you miss your family?  (Skype and FaceTime, need we say more?)
  • What if you get sick?  (We will go to the doctor)
  • And finally, What if a plane flies over and drops a load of manure on your head?  No, wait, that is my answer to the previous question.
In all seriousness, here we are sitting in a hotel room in Houston anticipating our flight to San Pedro Sula and the "roller derby" type ride to La Ceiba.  This is the most exciting time of our lives.  Why?  Because for the first time in our lives we are truly stepping out in faith.

When God speaks we must respond.  Henry Blackaby calls this a "Crisis of Belief."  How we respond demonstrates where we are in our walk with Christ.  Isaiah 6:8 says;  "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send?  and who will go for us? And I said here am I.  Send me!"  So, here we are.  Partner with us in our journey.  Pray that God gives us clarity in our mission, and that we never lose sight that this all about Him.
